It’s not a dog-eat-dog shop.
Not with Joyce Nouta as Office Manager. Joyce’s career resume is impressive enough, but it’s her community and volunteer commitment that speaks volumes.
Joyce is married with three children — two grown boys, and a very active teenage daughter.
All the kids played sports and the parents were always helping out.
“Both my husband and I are involved, and have been involved, in volunteering for hockey and Ringette,” says Joyce. “My daughter plays at a high level of Ringette and my husband is coaching again this year.”
Then there’s the latest edition to the family, Tristen Emily, and grandma Joyce calls her “the most Precious, Beautiful, Grand Princess in the world!.”
Joyce has worked a total of 33 years in office administration. Much of it was in the trucking industry, with Liquid Air.
She also does the books for her husband’s construction business.
“I always have my head in the computer,” she says, laughing. “I love crunching numbers and doing spreadsheets and projections.
“I love the trucking industry and enjoy being involved in helping companies grow.”
That is music to Pitbull’s owner, Sami Hayek. But the respect is mutual.
“I met Sami over coffee and was truly amazed and inspired as he spoke of his dream to build Pitbull into what it is today,” says Joyce. “Pitbull Energy has so much to offer to its employees, as well, to its clients and treats everyone with the utmost respect.”
